Luxury line Seabourn has completed the installation of Starlink cruise ship Wi-Fi across its fleet. SpaceX's Starlink operates Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite tech. The upgraded technology provides faster, more reliable service where Starlink's services are available. "Following the positive feedback received from our guests, we are thrilled to share that both our ocean and expedition ships now feature Starlink cruise ship Wi-Fi,” said Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn. Our guests can now choose to connect or disconnect as they wish." Starlink cruise ship Wi-Fi is now available on Seabourn's two new purpose-built ultra-luxury expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit as well as its ocean ships. Additionally, select ocean and expedition voyages qualify for Seabourn's latest promotion, "The Sail of the Year Event", which offers up to 25% off select Seabourn ultra-luxury ocean and expedition voyages. Seabourn achieved a first with its two purpose-built expedition ships meeting up in Antarctica for the first time. Seabourn Pursuit and Seabourn Venture sailed together at the entrance to Neko Harbor, to celebrate Seabourn Pursuit's maiden season in Antarctica. "We could not think of a better way to commemorate our first trip to Antarctica than meeting up with our sister ship, Seabourn Venture," said Stig Betten, captain of Seabourn Pursuit. Seabourn Pursuit just embarked on its maiden season of Antarctica cruises, while Seabourn Venture is beginning its second season. Both ships will operate 11- to 13-day voyages to Antarctica, as well as 21-day voyages to South Georgia, Falkland Islands, and Antarctica. These Antarctica cruises will offer included Zodiac outings and hikes across untouched landscapes. Optional kayaking and submarine excursions will also be available. Launched in 2022 and 2023, respectively, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit offer expedition activities led by a 24-person expedition team of scientists, scholars and naturalists. The ships are designed to PC6 Polar Class standards with almost 30,000 square feet of deck space and outdoor guest areas with nearly 270-degree views. The ships are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity with SpaceX's Starlink.

Seabourn just unveiled details of its ‘2026 World Cruise – Ring of Fire: Hidden Gems.’ The 129-day voyage on Seabourn Sojourn will visit 63 destinations and ports in 14 countries and is now open for sale. It departs Los Angeles on a voyage of approximately 28,000 nautical miles, crossing the International Dateline and Equator twice. The voyage visits the islands and atolls of the South Pacific, circumnavigates Australia, and crosses the North Pacific for the Alaskan summer. The sailing will feature five maiden calls and enjoy seven overnight port calls. Guests can sail the full 2026 World Cruise or on one of several shorter segments. The ultra-luxury line will celebrate same-day U.S. arrival with "A Toast on Both Coasts" in Seattle and Miami on September 29, 2023

  Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury voyages and expedition travel, is set to raise a glass for "A Toast On Both Coasts" and celebrate the first time that both of the line's two new ultra-luxury purpose-built expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit, will be in the continental U.S. on the same day on Friday, September 29, 2023.     The brand-new ultra-luxury ship, Seabourn Pursuit, which launched on August 12, made its maiden arrival in the U.S. in Miami on the morning of September 29. Meanwhile, Seabourn Venture, which launched in July 2022, is arrived in the continental U.S. for the first time in Seattle that same morning.   "A Toast on Both Coasts" will commemorate Seabourn's two-vessel milestone in a style all its own with celebratory events unfolding on each ship at once. A triumphant moment will be a "virtual toast" for team members on both ships, traveling Seabourn guests, travel advisors, media, and invited dignitaries to clink glasses from the far corners of the country.   "The same-day arrival of our two ultra-luxury, purpose-built expedition ships in the U.S. is a very symbolic celebration of the dream and vision we have coming to life. On October 10, the ship will arrive in Barbados to begin its expedition journeys, taking guests to remote corners of the globe. Seabourn Pursuit will head south for expeditions exploring coastal South America, the Amazon, and Antarctica into late March 2024. Following its inaugural Antarctic season, the ship will head across the islands of the South Pacific and eventually to Australia, which will be the start of the line's first exploration of the Kimberley region in the Northern Territory and Western Australia between June and August 2024. The iconic Kimberley, with its red sandstone gorges, rivers, waterfalls, wildlife, and Aboriginal life and history, is the ideal setting for a truly, world-class expedition experience. In addition to the Kimberley, Seabourn Pursuit will visit Papua New Guinea, West Papua, Indonesia, and sail across the South Pacific between Chile and Melanesia between March and October 2024.   Sister ship Seabourn Venture will head down the West Coast of the Americas before reaching Antarctica, where it will explore the "White Continent" between November 2023 and February 2024. In late February 2024, Seabourn Venture will make a once-in-a-lifetime crossing of the Atlantic encompassing the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Tristan da Cunha, and Ascension Island. Luxury line Seabourn has taken delivery of its second expedition ship, Seabourn Pursuit. It was handed over in an official ceremony at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa. Seabourn Pursuit is the company's second purpose-built, ultra-luxury expedition ship. Seabourn Pursuit has the same luxury ‘yacht like’ small ship experience. The ship will have a 24-person expedition team of scientists, scholars, naturalists, and more. It is designed and built for remote environments and built to PC6 Polar Class standards. Pursuit has nearly 30,000 square feet of deck space with indoor and outdoor guest areas boasting nearly 270-degree views. Seabourn Pursuit features eight dining venues and luxury all-suite accommodations, including two-level Wintergarden suites. “Seabourn Pursuit raises the bar for ultra-luxury expedition travel," said Natalya Leahy, Seabourn President. It comes one year after the delivery of Seabourn Venture. Seabourn Pursuit is scheduled to enter service August 12, 2023. The ship will sail five voyages in the Mediterranean before two voyages across the Atlantic and through the Caribbean. On October 10, 2023, the ship will arrive in Barbados to begin its expedition journeys. Expeditions will explore coastal South America, the Amazon, and Antarctica into late March 2024. Following its inaugural Antarctic season, the ship will head across to the islands of the South Pacific and eventually to Australia. There, it will offer Seabourn's first Kimberley region cruises in the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Luxury cruise line Seabourn is selling its ship Seabourn Odyssey. The buyer is Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) which will allow Seabourn to continue operating it under a charter agreement. Seabourn will continue sailing all published voyages through August 22, 2024. Seabourn Odyssey will be delivered to MOL after the charter agreement. "We are happy to see her join a great company, MOL," said Seabourn President Natalya Leahy. "As we prepare to say farewell to Odyssey, I am excited to further optimize our fleet as we grow our expedition business.” The line takes Seabourn Pursuit this summer. Seabourn's fleet expansion into the ultra-luxury expedition market allows for a more diverse offering, it says.

Seabourn has unveiled new expedition voyages for 2024-2025 which includes the first Kimberley cruises in northern Australia. Voyages will be on two new purpose-built expedition vessels, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. Both ships will explore remote corners, from the South Pacific and Antarctica to the Arctic, Greenland, and Iceland. It makes its Kimberley cruises debut on Seabourn Pursuit  between June and August 2024. In addition , Seabourn Pursuit will visit Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and sail to the South Pacific from Chile to Melanesia. Sister ship Seabourn Venture returns for another season in the UK, Ireland, Norway, Greenland, Iceland and the Canadian Arctic. Both ships will sail to Antarctica in late 2024 and early 2025.
