£74 Benidorm packages from Blackpool on offer

Seven-night package holidays in Benidorm from as low as £74 are being offered for those wishing to escape Blackpool this winter.

The deal from Jet2holidays.com is based on four sharing a one-bedroom self-catered apartment on the Costa Blanca resort in January, 2008.

The deal is part of a programme of flexible duration winter sun holidays being offered from five airports across the North of England and Northern Ireland.

The operator, which was launched last year, is seeking to capitalise on the closure of much of MyTravel’s businesses in the north following the Airtours’ parent company’s merger with Thomas Cook.

The holiday arm of budget carrier Jet2.com claims it will be the biggest holiday tour operator in the North of England.

Packages are available from Leeds/Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, Belfast International and Blackpool to a range of destinations, including The Algarve, Majorca, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca.

General manager Mandy Round claimed: “We have ripped apart the traditional tour operators’ model and slashed traditional prices.”

She added: “It simply has never been possible to offer these kinds of holidays without it being tied to a promotional offer – our holidays offer permanently low deals. Our business model does away with needless overheads and prices that were fixed months ago in brochures.

“Today’s consumers do not want to be told what day they go on holiday, or be forced to take 7 or 14-day breaks.  They want flexible durations, departing on days they want and flying from their local airport.

“What’s more, our package deals offer unbeatable value for money, with other tour operators unable to match our prices for breaks throughout Christmas, Spring Half Term and Easter; the three most popular times for holidaying during the winter season.

“We are delivering all this, ensuring the hotels are high-quality three, four and five-star standard at prices that have never been so low.
