Accor chips in for Indian golf tourism
French hotel giant Accor has teamed up with golfing website 4moles.com to promote golf tourism development in India.
The agreement will see 4moles provide golf concierge services at selected Accor hotels in India.
The service will be available at Accor’s Sofitel, Pullman, Grand Mercure and Novotel properties throughout the country.
"Our partnership with Accor will help us act as a catalyst to leverage on the development of Golfing Tourism in the country through Internet and various e-commerce channels," said 4moles CEO Dinesh Thakur, CEO.
Guests will have access to an online tee time booking system, an online payment gateway, rental of branded golf sets from either the individual hotels or golf courses, caddies and golfing holiday packages.
"Through this partnership we look forward to providing our travellers with alternative weekend get-aways and vacations," said Nikhil Dhodapkar, regional director, sales and marketing at Accor India
Accor recently announced a similar initiative to promote inbound golf tourism in Indonesia in association with the Indonesian Tourism Ministry and national airline Garuda.
