Accor to debut Movenpick brand in Australia
Accor’s Swiss hospitality brand Movenpick will plant its flag in Australia.
Together with Singaporean-based global hospitality group, Global Premium Hotels, it signed a management agreement to introduce Movenpick Hotel Hobart in Tasmania.
Located near Hobart waterfront, the new build property will have 221 guestrooms and suites, unlocking city and harbour views.
On-site amenities include a restaurant and meeting facilities.
"We are delighted to be working with Global Premium Hotels to bring our first Movenpick hotel to Australia. It is well positioned to appeal to business and leisure travellers visiting the vibrant capital city of Hobart," said Simon McGrath AM, Chief Executive Officer for Accor Pacific.
Flexible event space will be available for up to 100 guests alongside a pre-event area and full bar.
As well as hosting the ‘Chocolate Hour’ each afternoon, the hotel will offer the brand’s signature services including Movenpick Products of fine food and beverages, and web check-in.
