Former Teletext Holidays managing director Matt Cheevers has taken a non-executive directorship at travel marketing communications agency Elmscott.
He will assist with the development of the company while also focusing on product strategy across its range of services.
Cheevers last year established Smooth Direction, an organisation offering strategic business development and network services including product development, training and recruitment.
Elmscott started as a media agency specialising in the travel sector 12 years ago, working with clients including the Romanian Tourist Office, Fred Olsen Cruises, and The Co-op Travel Group.
“The travel market has undergone huge changes in recent years, and now faces significant marketing challenges over the next couple of years,” said Cheevers.
“Elmscott is already ahead of the game, specialising in campaigns which help clients put their products in front of their customers not only through traditional media, but through a full range of services including online and social media expertise.
“Together we want to present travel companies with a full marketing service that is based on our real experience and our understanding of the market.”
Elmscott founder and managing director David Coates added: ‘”We are delighted to welcome Matt to our team. With his excellent travel credentials and strategic approach, we are sure he will be an invaluable asset and enhance Elmscott’s reputation within the travel industry even further.”
