First homegrown China cruise ship unveiled
The first home grown China cruise ship has officiary been named.
The Adora Magic City was unveiled in Shanghai.
It is the first of its kind to be entirely constructed in China.
The 135,500 ton ship can accommodate over 5,000 guests.
The ship is based on a design initially developed by Carnival Corp and Fincantieri during a partnership with China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).
It was based on Carnival’s Vista class ship design.
It has been in the planning since 2018.
The China cruise ship houses 26 restaurants and bars, a duty-free retail mall and a brewery.,
There is a large entertainment venue and kids activities.
The ship officially begins international cruises in January 2024.
A sister ship is now under construction.
