Advantage flags up airline failure protection
Advantage has created a new information campaign to members pro-actively promoting its scheduled airline failure insurance (SAFI).
The move has been prompted by IATA predicting a downturn in profits for the global aviation industry.
The consortium’s chief executive John McEwan said: “Airlines are going to be under pressure next year and reading between the lines this latest forecast indicates that some could be in trouble.
“We want to make sure our members and their customers are protected in the event that an airline goes bust and our SAFI product provides that cover.”
He added: “On the back of this latest news we’re sending out a new communication to flag up our scheduled airline failure insurance (SAFI) which is offered as part of our financial services to members. It’s designed for the travel market and is approved by the CAA.”
