AHLA CEO Katherine Lugar stepping down
The chief of the American Hotel & Lodging Association is stepping down later this year.
Association president and CEO Katherine Lugar is leaving after five years at the helm to start a new position as president and CEO of the American Beverage Association.
Lugar has overseen a tripling of revenue and membership during her tenure.
"We are grateful to Katherine for her dynamic leadership, passion and drive to make the AHLA a highly effective force for the industry and we wish her the very best as she takes on this new position, said AHLA Chair Mark Carrier.
The AHLA board has begun a search for Lugar’s successor.
"Together, we have made significant strides over the past five years. While I will dearly miss working with and for leaders of America’s iconic hotel companies, I am confident that the success of the organization will only continue and expand," Lugar said.
