Air Berlin completes dba takeover
German budget carrier Air Berlin has won approval to take over Munich-based airline dba.
Sales and marketing integration has started with dba flights now available for booking online via www.airberlin.com.
Germany’s second largest airline Air Berlin said dba would continue to be managed as an independent company following approval of the takeover by the German Federal Cartel Office.
Meanwhile, Air Berlin saw August passenger numbers rise by almost 13% year-on-year to 1.6 million, with Stansted flights achieving strongest growth outside Germany.
