Air India pilot under investigation for cockpit violation
An Air India pilot is in hot water.
Air regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation opened an inquiry after the pilot allowed a friend into the cockpit.
The violation was flagged by the pilot’s cabin crew colleagues on the Dubai to Delhi flight.
According to one flight attendant, the pilot asked for alcohol to be brought into the cockpit.
The pilot also requested an upgrade to business class for the passenger.
“Air India has set up a committee to investigate,” the airline said.
The flight crew were called to appear before the DGCA to answer inquiries.
