Air services between Norfolk Island and Australia
Acting Chief Minister, the Hon Stephanie Jack MLA, confirmed today that air services between Norfolk Island and the Australian mainland will operate as scheduled this week. Mrs Jack said that flights will be at the advertised times on Wednesday and Saturday, and will be operated by Qantas 737 aircraft.
“The Norfolk Island Government is committed to maintaining the air service for passengers and freight to and from the Australian mainland”, Mrs Jack said. “We are grateful to Qantas for its assistance in ensuring that flights this week will be as normal. Negotiations are well advanced for ensuring continuation of air services as scheduled on and from Wednesday 28th December”.
“We expect to be in a position to announce details of those arrangements this week”.
