Air travel meltdown could get worse
A full week of air travel disruption has seen about 9,000 flight cancelations – with continued misery expected for holiday travelers.
Busy holiday travel is colliding with surging Covid cases among airline and TSA employees while severe weather is adding to a perfect storm.
Carriers including Alaska Airlines are pleading with customers who do have need to travel right now to rebook for other dates. The airline said hold time for customer service calls is a massive 20 hours. Non-urgent queries should wait ‘until next week’ it says.
