AirAsia continues to shine
Malaysian budget carrier AirAsia said its load factor for the first quarter of 2011 was at 81 percent versus 74 percent the same period a year ago.
“It’s been a good first quarter,” the airline group’s chief executive Tony Fernandes told Reuters on the sidelines of a Malaysian investment conference.
Fernandes said Asia’s largest budget carrier by fleet size was on track to list its Thai and Indonesian units in the fourth quarter of 2011.
