All Leisure future unclear
Two All Leisure Group brands Just You and Travelsphere are being operated by independent soft adventure tours specialist G Adventures.
The news comes as it was revealed that two of All Leisure’s cruise lines, Swan Hellenic and Voyages of Discovery, had cancelled sailings this week for ‘operational reasons’.
It also emerged that All Leisure’s other cruise line, the one-ship Hebridean Island Cruises, has been sold to a group of private investors led by All Leisure chairman Roger Allard.
Companies House lists travel industry accountant Chris Photi as company secretary and Allard as director, both appointed to Hebridean Island Cruises on October 19 last year. Hebridean MD Kenneth Charleston and Unijet founder and All Leisure non-executive director Nigel Jenkins were appointed as company directors on December 1, according to the filing with Companies House.
Allard, Photi and Jenkins are also directors of another company, HP Shipping, set up in 2015 to acquire and Hebridean’s only ship, the Princess. HP Shipping’s other directors are Peter Buckley, Philip Ovenden and Philip Breckner.
Last August, All Leisure sold another brand, Discover Egypt, to its management team which set up a new company, Platinum Holdiays. The directors are Philip Breckner and David Wiles.
Hebridean Island Cruises, HP Shipping and Platinum Holidays are all based at the same south London address.
The sell-offs leave All Leisure with only Swan Hellenic and Voyages of Discovery, both of which have cancelled their most recent sailings.
This week, both cruise lines apologised on their websites to passengers for cancelling trips due to depart this week, but no further information was provided.
