Amadeus signs business travel agent
Amadeus has signed a deal with Ian Allan Travel (IAT) to become its preferred GDS.
The deal enhances the existing contract between Amadeus and Shepperton-based IAT, which will see IAT implement Amadeus Vista as its front-office web-based reservations platform.
IAT also uses the Amadeus corporate self-booking tool, e-Travel Aergo.
IAT director of operations, Pat O’Neill said Amadeus had won over the company on its support as well as technology.
“Amadeus took the time to really understand our needs and drew up detailed, bespoke implementation and training programmes for us – even before we signed the contract,” he said.
IAT is a member of Guild of Travel Management Companies and Amadeus is now a full industry partner of the organisation.
