American hikes fuel surcharges

American Airlines has added an extra $20 fuel surcharge on most return transatlantic and transpacific fares.
In a brief statement, the carrier said the incraese would offset rising fuel costs.
The rises of $10 one-way and $20 return apply to “most” transtatlantic and transpacific with the exception of Japan and come ito force immediately.
