ANA gets date for Dreamliner
All Nippon Airways will take delivery of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner on September 26.
A statement from the carrier said the aircraft will arrive in Tokyo on September 28. The first passenger flight of the new aircraft will be a charter between Tokyo and Hong Kong at the end of October.
A spokesman for ANA said the aircraft will offer new standards of comfort and service to passengers and play an important role in its international expansion strategy.
A spokesman for Boeing said the airline marked a new chapter in aviation history.
British Airways and Thomson have placed orders for the Dreamliner, which promises 20% greater fuel efficiency than equivalent aircraft.
