ANA to operate hundreds of carbon neutral flights
All Nippon Airways services to and from Hiroshima Airport will be carbon neutral flights this month.
ANA is teaming up with natural resource developer Inpex and fuel wholesaler Idemitsu Kosan.
The initiative will see all 682 domestic flights at Hiroshima powered with jet fuel that have emissions offset through carbon credits.
It is effective throughout May for flights from Tokyo, New Chitose and Naha, Okinawa.
ANA reckons the initiative will cut emissions by nearly 10,000 tons.
It coincides with the upcoming G7 summit in Hiroshima.
