And the winner is………
The 11th Avis 2008 Scholarship Award was presented last night at Sydney’s Four Seasons hotel to Adrienne Witteman of Trendsetter Travel, in Longueville, Sydney, and as Russell Butler, Avis’ Travel Industry Manager told The Mole, “The overall quality of the entries this year has been outstanding.”
He added, “The Avis Scholarship this year has been one of the most difficult to judge, with the quality of entrant reflecting the growing confidence agents have in the value they offer Australian travellers.”
He also told The Mole that what was particularly interesting that all the entrants did not see the internet as a threat, but as a valuable tool to enhance customer service.
Adrienne [pictured right with Russell Butler – left and George Proos – right of Avis] was chosen out of six top finalists, who made highly professional presentations throughout the day to the judges in final judging session, held earlier yesterday.
Adrienne’s Scholarship is valued at more than $25,000 and includes two return business class tickets to New York, six nights accommodation, seven days car rental and $1,000 of foreign exchange products from American Express, plus one on one business coaching from Polonius Resources and an honorary position on the Avis Travel Agents Advisory Board.
Adrienne told The Mole, “I am absolutely thrilled and lost for words and will most certainly make the very best of my scholarship, in growing my business and for my clients.”
