APT to add three new river cruise ships
APT has confirmed that three new river ships will join its Essential River Cruising fleet.
The first – the new Travelmarvel Contemporary Class River Ship – will launch in April 2020 operating on APT’s Essential European Gems route sailing from Budapest to Amsterdam.
Two other ships will follow suit in 2021.
The new Contemporary River Ship will have a ‘brilliantly fresh look’ with ‘crisp new furnishings and light filled cabins’, said APT.
A Top Deck will have a terrace and roof garden while an Upper Deck will have panoramic ceiling to floor windows.
Guests who want more privacy can stay in one of the Main or Upper Deck Staterooms, with French balconies that open up at the touch of a button.
There will be new ‘pub-style’ option, McGeary’s Bar, named after the McGeary family who have owned and run APT for more than 90 years.
Other dining options are a lighter selection at the Vista Lounge or a more formal choice in the fine dining restaurant.
