Archipelago International scoots off with Grab partnership
Southeast Asia based hotel management group Archipelago International has teamed up with ride hailing giant Grab to offer its guests a sustainable urban sightseeing option.
‘GrabWheels’ is an on-demand scooter sharing service, offering eco-friendly e-scooters through the Grab mobile app.
The e-scooters, charging stations and safety helmets have been added to some Archipelago hotels and are fully maintained by Grab.
"We are very excited to be part of this global movement with our green partner Grab. e-scooters are very energy efficient, while improving overall mobility without increasing emissions," said John Flood, president and CEO of Archipelago International.
Archipelago International has a big footprint across Indonesia with more than 150 hotels and has more than 100 new hotels in development across Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
It operates several brands including ASTON, Alana, HARPER, NEO and favehotels.
