Ashley Close to box for Cancer Research
Holiday Extras head of insurance partnerships, Ashley Close, will bravely step into the boxing ring at the Kent County Show Ground this weekend to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
After eight weeks of intensive training, he will slug it out over four two-minute rounds at a special Ultra White Collar Boxing Match on Saturday.
"Training for this match has been a great experience. I am now very fit and am feeling great! It’s my birthday on the day of the fight, which will make the match an even more memorable experience," said Close.
"While I’m in the ring to win, my main goal is to raise as much as possible for the fight to end Cancer as there isn’t a household in the UK that hasn’t been affected by it.’
Ashley has raised £421 so far, smashing his original target of £250, so he is now aiming for £700.
