Asia’s first Trump hotel coming to Bali
Trump Hotels Collection has confirmed its first hotel signing in Asia with plans announced to make Bali the newest addition to its growing portfolio.
An agreement has been inked with PT Media Nusantara Citra (MNC) to manage an oceanfront resort at Tanah Lot which is being touted as a six star resort.
"As we continue to strategically grow the Trump Hotel Collection, we seek only the most valuable destinations. Bali is consistently voted as one of the best islands and is one of the best resort and residential destinations globally," said executive vice president of development and acquisitions Donald Trump Jr.
The project is calls for the redevelopment of the existing Nirwana Resort and Golf Club, situated close to Bali’s most iconic landmark – the oceanfront temple of Tanah Lot.
It will feature villas, suites and private residences in what MNC says will become the island’s largest integrated luxury resort.
"I am personally very pleased to bring the Trump brand into Indonesia. The Trump family’s personal involvement and global proven success, is set out to elevate Bali’s expectations for ‘luxury and excellence," said founder and CEO Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
Trump currently has a portfolio of 14 hotels with new openings planned for Washington DC, Rio de Janeiro, Vancouver and Baku in 2016.
