Australasian Economic Travel and Tourism Resilience Forum destined to be top event for whole industry

Wednesday, 03 Dec, 2008 0

The Australasian Travel and Tourism Resilience Forum taking place this Saturday at the International College of Management Sydney, is the first event in Australia that that offers all aspects of the industry, inbound, domestic and outbound, the opportunity to come together, hear from the region and world’s leading speakers and also devise strategies moving forward for businesses to cope with what will without be some challenging times ahead.

Global economic volatility is already affecting every single tourism business in some way and world leaders in this space are saying that only those who understand the challenges and the opportunities will survive in good shape, with the UNWTO seeing the Australasia forum as a model for fora that could well be rolled out across the world.

Global industry leaders are of the opinion that is planning is vital ‐ which is why the industry leader principles of Struan & Associates Consulting, TravelMole and eTravelBlackboard have taken the very significant step of bringing together some of the world and the region’s most important financial and business brains, not only to explore the issues the industry is currently facing but also come up with tangible and workable tips and solutions for individual businesses.

The highly impressive portfolio of speakers, presenters and panellists continued to grow with the announcement that recognised industry leader, Anna Guillan, Executive General Manager Sales and Marketing at Voyages Hotels and Resorts, will be taking the Hotel and Hospitality panel and break out session leader spot.

With over 100 delegates already attending from all sectors, with the only very surprising weak response from the sectors that would appear to potentially be most exposed, inbound and domestic, and also a poor response from industry associations, State Governments and Federal Governments, the organisers are keen to quickly fill any remaining slots and are offering a special deal for double registrations of $66pp if two or more people from the same company register from now until Friday.
