BA reduces bag allowance for business class passengers
British Airways has reduced baggage allowance for business class passengers from three to two bags.
The airline said the vast majority of its Club World customers no longer use the offer of a third bag.
It said its new policy will bring the allowance in line with its Atlantic joint business partners, including American Airlines and Finnair.
The changes come into force for flights purchased from May 10 2016.
It means passengers in Club World and Biz Bed customers can check in two bags for free, each weighing a maximum of 32kg.
Gold Executive Club Members will still be entitled to an additional free bag and Club World and Biz Bed customers will be able to check in a third bag for £120 if pre-booked online or £140 when purchased at the airport.
"We do our best to keep costs low for our customers and our free checked baggage allowance remains very generous," said a BA spokeswoman.
