BA stowaway investigation after man is found dead on a roof in Richmond
British Airways is helping police with an investigation after a man was found dead on a roof in Richmond and another was found injured in the undercarriage of a plane at Heathrow.
It is believed one of the men had fallen to his death after clinging on to a BA flight from Johannesburg to London.
His body was found on the building of online shop notonthehighstreet.com on Kew Road, Richmond, at about 9.30am Thursday morning.
Another man was found in the undercarriage of a BA plane at Heathrow Airport. He is in a critical condition in hospital.
The two men are believed to have been clinging to the BA flight, but police have not confirmed the link between the two cases.
British Airways said it was working with the Metropolitan Police and authorities in Johannesburg to establish the facts surrounding this ‘very rare situation’.
