BA to launch new California route from Gatwick
British Airways will launch flights from London Gatwick to Oakland, San Francisco Bay, from March 28, 2017.
It will be the airline’s first California route from Gatwick and its fifth service from London.
The airport is just a 35-minute drive to San Francisco Bay and is also convenient for visitors to the Napa Valley, Carmel and Yosemite national park.
The route will be served by a 777-200ER aircraft operating four days a week, with fares from £189 each way.
Meanwhile, BA has also unveiled new summer routes from London Heathrow to Brindisi, Montpellier, Murcia, Nantes, Pula, Tallinn and Zakynthos.
The first services launch on March 28 and tickets are now on sale.
