Baltimore boy turns in $19,000 found at airport
So what you do if you find $19,000 in a parking garage at the Los Angeles International Airport?
If you were 12-year-old Geoffrey Little, visiting from Baltimore, you would turn the money over to authorities.
Police were able to find the owner of the money, a California resident who was on his way to Los Vegas when he misplaced his wallet.
The owner of the wallet gave the youngster what was described as a “generous reward.” That sum was going into a savings account.
An airport official said that while property is turned in on a regular basis, cash is seldom reported.
