Barrhead to recruit for 60 new jobs across store network
Barrhead Travel is investing £100,000 in creating 60 new full and part-time positions across its store network.
The company, which is headquartered in Glasgow, is to recruit the majority of staff in Scotland. They will be mostly management and sales roles but some non-sales jobs will also be available.
The firm’s Cumbrian call centre will also add to its existing team with new recruits.
The recruitment drive is ‘in response to growing customer demand’ and to ‘support the company’s wider development’, says Barrhead.
Thirty modern apprentices will also be recruited, with 10 of those positions already secured. Training for the first round of new recruits will begin in October.
Barrhead Travel chief executive, Sharon Munro, said: "Adding to these teams will help them build and develop further and will strengthen the bespoke service we provide.
"Business growth and reinvestment continues to be front of mind for us. We enjoyed another successful year in 2013 and we are continuing to invest heavily in training and development to drive our business vision forward."
