BCD directors announce departure
Mervyn Williamson, managing director of BCD Travel in the UK, has announced his intention to leave the company in June to “seek a new challenge”.
Fellow director Jon Langley is leaving the company at the same time, and for the same reason.
BCD Travel UK will now be headed by new president and COO for the UK and Ireland, Mike Walley.
According to a statement by the company today, Williamson “feels that the time is now right to leave the company and pursue other business interests”.
The statement said he has now successfully overseen the integration of the former Phoenix Travel into TQ3 Travel Solutions and, more recently, the acquisition of TQ3 by BCD Holdings.
Until June, he will continue working closely with BCD Travel to integrate its new UK organisation.
A BCD spokesman said further announcements about the integration would be made in due course.
“It’s ongoing. We are taking our time. As we move forward there will be future announcements, but only once changes have become concrete.”
