Bedsearcher to go global
UK online accommodation provider Bedsearcher has entered the international hotel booking market.
The move is part of the firm’s aggressive growth plans to increase sales from £4m to £40 million.
Until now it has worked with 19 countries in Europe, predominantly selling to UK customers travelling overseas.
Now, it is looking for a “large slice” of the worldwide travel market, including travellers from the Far East, America and Australia using the site to visit the UK.
“We are exceeding even our own expectations in terms of brand awareness, hotel partnerships and collaborations,” said Jim Mann, founder of Bedsearcher.
“I’ve done a lot of travelling and I have seen how inaccessible some of the smaller yet fantastic accommodation properties can be. It’s our aim to bring these places to people who wouldn’t normally have access to them, through new media.”
The creators of www.bedsearcher.co.uk have also designed PINPOINT search engine technology.
