Blue Lagoon Cruises has announced that Fiji Visitors Bureau (FVB), Director of Marketing, Josefa (Jo) Tuamoto [pictured left with Damend Gounder, Head of Fiji’s TAG] will replace current Director Commercial Operations, Scott Forrest when Scott leaves the company to take on other projects in Australia on 18 March 2007.

Joining the FVB in 1995 Jo is well known in Australian industry circles having served as the bureau’s Australian Regional Director.

Jo’s FVB career experience also includes a stint in Los Angeles where he headed up the bureau’s North America activity, again as Regional Director.

Jo holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Wales and graduated with a BSc from the University of the South Pacific.

Announcing his decision to leave the Fiji tourism icon last December, Scott is relocating to Sydney with his family to take up opportunities in several senior consulting roles.

An expatriate New Zealander Scott joined Blue Lagoon Cruises three years ago and in that time he has overseen several key changes in Blue Lagoon Cruises’ overall business structure, the impact of which has  played a major part in keeping the company extremely high profile on a global basis.

The Mole wishes Jo and Scott all success in their new roles.
