Blue Lagoon Leads Fijian industry

Saturday, 04 Jan, 2007 0

Blue Lagoon Cruises, whose Director Commercial Operations Scott Forrest prides Blue Lagoon on being a leader of the Fijian tourism industry, responded yesterday at what appeared to be the speed of light, by following up on the Fijian Government’s decision to withdraw the additional 2.5% per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) introduced last November, by announcing that Blue Lagoon will refund all VAT previously charged at the increased tax level.

This applies to all bookings made from 07 November 2006 with travel taking place from 01 January 2007.

Blue Lagoon, Fiji’s boutique island cruising specialist is the first Fiji property or operator to announce its decision to refund those passengers originally affected by the VAT hike.
