Bmi makes interim directors permanent
Martyn Bridger has been appointed permanent commercial and service director for bmi after filling the role in an interim capacity.
Formerly customer experience director for Silverjet, he will report to bmi mainline managing director Peter Spencer and will be responsible for revenue management, overseas sales, distribution, customer service and service development, including catering.
He will also launch a review of the quality of bmi service across the airline in terms of products and people.
Katherine Gershon, currently interim marketing director, will also join bmi permanently taking on the expanded role of sales and marketing director.
She was previously Silverjet global sales and marketing director.
In her new position, Gershon will be responsible for marketing worldwide, online sales, loyalty including Diamond Club and Company Rewards, partnerships, e-commerce and UK sales.
Another former Silverjet head, Tamarah Khatib, has been appointed head of online for bmi.
Khatib was previously Silverjet’s head of global online marketing and will fulfil a similar role at bmi.
