The body of a British tourist who fell overboard during a sightseeing boat trip in the Caribbean has been found.

The man, named locally as Jason Jones, aged 28, had been on a sightseeing expedition with his girlfriend during a holiday in St Lucia.

His body was found on the Anse Ger beach in Desruisseaux, said police.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out but police said he appeared to have drowned.

They said the water was very rough in the area where he appears to have fallen overboard.

The Foreign Office confirmed it was assisting the man’s family.
