Bomb scare forces flight to divert
A Hong Kong-bound flight was forced into an emergency landing in China following a bomb scare.
Hong Kong Airlines flight HX337 carrying 295 people from Beijing was diverted to Wuhan after a bomb threat was received made shortly after take-off.
After landing at Wuhan, all passengers and crew were deplaned while police swept the plane but no suspicious packages were discovered.
“Hong Kong Airlines was notified of a suspected bomb threat on board flight HX337 from Beijing to Hong Kong, after the plane had taken off,” an airline spokeswoman confirmed on Tuesday.
