Breeze Airways unveils first international flights
Breeze Airways is soon about to spread its wings with its first flights overseas.
It will start flying to several vacation destinations seasonally from next year.
It announced its first international flights to Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
According to Breeze Airways Chief Commercial Officer Lukas Johnson, the airline has spent a long time securing FAA approvals for the international flights.
Most of the new routes will have little or no competition, and will all be operated on Breeze’s A220-300 jets.
From January 10 the airline weekly flights from Norfolk, VA to Cancun, Mexico, and from Charleston, SC a week later.
In February, it starts more Cancun flights from New Orleans, and Providence, R.I.
In March, Breeze plans to launch twice a week to Montego Bay and Punta Cana, D.R. from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Additionally, the airline announced twice weekly Montego Bay flights from Tampa.
“We’re excited to bring the same convenience and elevated experience they love about our domestic flights to three exciting new international destinations,” said David Neeleman, CEO of Breeze.
