Budget added to online travel check site
Budget has been added to travel comparison website travelsupermarket.com’s car hire search channel.
The addition increases the number of car rental operations on the site to 21.
Existing rental partners on the site include: Avis, Hertz, Sky Cars, Alamo, easyCar. Expedia, TravelBag, Easyautos, RecordRentACar, AutoEurope, CheapCarRental, AutoRent, ebookers, Holiday Autos, Lastminute, Airline Network, British Airways, Thrifty and Majortravel.
Travelsupermarket.com director Chris Nixon said: “We are very pleased to have signed Budget. The addition of another competitive car hire company will ensure our customers are provided with an excellent variety of options at a price to suit them.”
Meanwhile, the company has named Bob Atkinson as manager of its flight business.
He has previously worked for Avro, British Airways, CT2 Flights and Holidays and Cheapestflights.co.uk.
Atkinson has been charged with expanding the website’s flights service from its existing partners, including companies such as ebookers, Opodo, Airline Network, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, to over 75 partners.
“This will ensure that travelsupermarket.com offers every main player in the flight market and further consolidates itself as the best travel metasearch service on the web,” the company said.
