Capital move by AirAsia X
AirAsia X will launch direct flights to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur on June 22.
The long-haul low fare affiliate of AirAsia will fly initially to Beijing Capital International Airport four times a week, moving to daily flights from August 6.
Kathleen Tan, AirAsia’s Group Head of Commercial said, "Our network would not be complete without Beijing. Our first flight into China took off eight years ago, and since then we have carried more than 12 million guests from seven destinations in China.”
Travellers will be able to book fly-through flights from Melbourne and the Gold Coast to Beijing.
Special launch fares have been announced and are available on the AirAsia website.
