Carnival Cruise Line reveals Carnival Firenze godfather
Carnival Cruise Line has named actor Jonathan Bennett as godfather of Carnival Firenze.
Carnival Firenze will be christened in Long Beach on April 24 by Bennett and will sail year-round Long Beach cruises, on three to seven-day Baja Mexico and Mexican Riviera itineraries.
Bennett is a seasoned television actor and appeared in the ‘Mean Girls’ movie 20 years ago.
He has starred in multiple feature films and hosted shows for the Food Network.
The 5,260-guest Carnival Firenze is the second ship to transfer to the Carnival fleet from sister line Costa Cruises, after Carnival Venezia.
“Jonathan is a true brand ambassador and embodies the Carnival style of fun,” said Christine Duffy, president at Carnival Cruise Line.
The naming ceremony will be livestreamed on Carnival’s Facebook page.
