Cathay Pacific expands Lufthansa codeshare alliance
Cathay Pacific is expanding options for travel to Europe from its Hong Kong hub by adding more routes to its codeshare partnership with the Lufthansa Group.
Cathay will add its CX code on Lufthansa flights to Frankfurt and Munich and on Swiss International Air Lines’ Zurich service.
All three routes operate daily from Hong Kong.
To reciprocate Lufthansa customers can book Cathay’s Hong Kong-Frankfurt flights and Swiss will place its LX code on Cathay’s daily Zurich service.
"Europe is a key market for us and a popular destination for many of our passengers. These added services not only give our customers more non-stop options, but also make it easier to transfer onto connecting flights," said Paul Loo, Cathay chief customer and commercial officer.
Cathay Pacific’s Marco Polo Club members will earn Club points when travelling on the codeshare flights.
Reservations are now live for departures beginning July 17, 2019.
