Celebration Key welcomes one millionth guest
Five months in since its official launch, Carnival’s Celebration Key private destination has just welcomed its one millionth guest.
The one-millionth guest, Andrew Sexton, was feted with a surprise as he stepped ashore with his family from Carnival Vista.
Vista was the first ship to call at Celebration key in July.
“Both local residents who have benefited from the job creation and our guests have embraced Celebration Key from the very first day, and this milestone underscores an exciting chapter for us,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
“We’re proud to lay the foundation for long-term growth and a positive impact in the region, while creating something truly special for our guests.”
Carnival says Celebration Key has created more than 1,000 permanent local positions and has more than 50 Bahamian-owned businesses on-site.
