Certify snaps up nuTravel booking tool

Monday, 08 Sep, 2017 0

Global travel expense management platform Certify has acquired corporate online booking service nuTravel.

The purchase of nuTravel’s booking tool will form the basis of a new service called Certify Enterprise Travel.

It will complement the Certify Travel booking application aimed at small business clients.

Certify Enterprise Travel will allow customers to use any corporate travel agency as their preferred ticketing provider.

Product features include advanced travel policy enforcement, workflow routing, and direct connections to vendors.

It provides robust support for international travel including language and currency conversions.

"We are now one of the only expense management providers that also controls the online booking technology, making Certify a best-in-class travel and expense management solution," said Bob Neveu, president of Certify.

"Our partnership opportunities with TMCs and corporate travel departments are extensive and we will continue to disrupt the T&E space."

The Dallas-based developer team at nuTravel are joining Certify, and nuTravel’s standalone airline services business will operate independently of Certify.

"These are exciting times for Certify as nuTravel was looking for a partner that would acquire our booking tool and take it to the next level.  Certify was a natural fit for both parties," said Carmine Carpanzano, CEO of nuTravel.

The acquisition is a natural progression after the two companies initially formed a strategic partnership back in July 2017.
