Cheapflights records increase in flight searches
Cheapflights Media saw a 5% increase in flight searches in the UK in the first three months of this year compared with 2011.
Overall, the company’s first quarter global traffic was up 11% over the same period last year and the monthly visit average for the period was 13.2m visits.
CEO Hugo Burge said many consumers were trading down to short-haul trips, but he said the market was still buoyant.
Cheaplights was again elected a Top Ten Winner for 2011 by Experian Hitwise, which ranks travel websites.
