China Airlines starting seasonal Melbourne, Christchurch flights
China Airlines has unveiled plans for seasonal flights from Taipei to Melbourne from October.
A three times a week service will take off from October 25 until March 26, 2016, leaving Taiwan on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and returning from Melbourne on Wednesday, Saturday and Monday.
Each flight to Melbourne will also continue on to Christchurch, New Zealand.
CAL also operated a similar Taipei-Sydney-Christchurch seasonal service last year which it claimed had load factors of about 90%.
This route will resume on a seasonal basis three times a week from October 26, the airline said.
CAL will use Airbus 330-300 aircraft on both routes.
