Commission bonus as P&O Cruises’ kicks off Wave season early
Up to 10% bonus commission is being paid by P&O Cruises as part of a package of measures to help boost cruise sales.
The company is also giving away a week’s Ventura cruise a day to agents throughout January in a prize draw.
Discounts of up to £100 per person on all Ventura sailings and on board credit of up to £120 per cabin are also being offered to agents for their customers.
The incentives come as the line’s sales arm Complete Cruise Solution starts the traditional Wave peak selling period this month – almost four weeks earlier than usual.
A new TV advertising campaign featuring seven different films, one for each day of the week, breaks on Boxing Day and can also be seen on www.pocruises.co.uk.
P&O Cruises’ managing director Nigel Esdale said: “The current economic climate is understandably making people nervous about committing to holidays but we aim to work with agents to reassure their customers that luxury need not break the bank and a holiday with us is a very sensible, as well as inspiring, choice.â€
He added: “Our new advertising campaign explains what it is that makes every day of a P&O Cruises holiday so different.
“Not only do passengers awake to a new destination almost every day but they travel in style and enjoy service that simply cannot be found elsewhere.â€
Esdale said: “And for the same experience, if you add up all the hotels, meals, the cost of child care, entertainment, flights and transfers, a land-based holiday can easily cost more than a P&O Cruises’ holiday.â€
