Cricket tour operator ceases trading
The official operator that supplied packages to the 2006 Ashes cricket tour in Australia has ceased trading.
Travel and Tours Anywhere Ltd (TTAL), a Worldchoice member, closed on Friday, just days after the end of the ICC Cricket World Cup in the West Indies.
The company organised the travel for cricket supporters, including the Barmy Army for British fans and the Bharat Army for Indian fans.
The supporters group, Barmy Army Ltd, licenced its name to the tour operator, allowing it to trade as Barmy Army Travel in Hayes, Middlesex.
ABTA had terminated its membership a month ago and a notice of a meeting of creditors was issued on April 23.
