CROWN AUSSIE ICONS BOWL OFF
Bowlers dressed as lifesavers are not usually de rigueur for team-building of the bowling variety, but when Crown Towers and Crown Promenade Hotel launched its inaugural Wholesale Bowl Off Challenge on Monday, 3rd March 2008, participating teams took the Aussie Icons theme to heart and dressed to impress via a number of outfits that well and truly reinforced Australia’s moniker as a sporting nation.
Organised by the Crown Hotel Sales team, the event was held to celebrate with key wholesale agents – the launch of the 2008/2009 brochure period.
And celebrate they did whilst firmly eyeing a number of prizes including a trophy for the winning team and $150 China Doll restaurant gift voucher for each winning team member.
Battling it out in a bowling skirmish that saw Pan Pacific Travel [pictured above] eventually crowned the night’s winner, they also managed to trump their counterparts in the alley fashion stakes and walk away with the most creative outfit award dressed as lifesavers.
Congratulations also to Antonio Khatter from ATS Pacific and Dina Cutamora from Pan Pacific for winning the highest male and female scores of the night respectively. Well done to all teams for putting their best bowling foot forward and for making the night an outstanding success.
