Cruise ship cap imposed in Palma
The Balearic government confirmed a ‘historic’ arrangement to limit cruise ship traffic in Palma. Agreed in principle last year, cruise ships limits are in place until 2026, under a memorandum of understanding with CLIA.
No more than three cruise ships per day can call at Palma and only one of these can be a mega-cruise liner with capacity for more than 5,000 passengers. For this year only, four ships a day may call for a maximum of 18 days during the year.
