Cruise specialist agency collapses
Cruise specialist, G & B Travel Ltd, has ceased trading with 4,000 forward bookings.
The agency, based in Horwich, Bolton, used the trading name Gillett Travel and sold purely cruise holidays.
According to the company’s website, it was established 15 years ago and had grown to "be one of the largest and best known Cruise Specialists in the UK".
It was a founder member of P&O’s Partnership, Cunard’s Inner Circle, Royal Caribbean International Royal Acheivers Club, Silversea Cruises Circle of Excellence, Radisson Seven Seas Club, Norwegian Cruise Lines Top100 Club and others.
Customers in the first instance need to contact the cruiseline they are booked with.
A spokeswoman for P&O said: "Our reservations team has been in contact with those passengers who had booked Complete Cruise Solution cruises through Gilllett Travel and we have taken over those bookings."
Retail claims arising from the failure will be handled by CEGA, ABTA’s claims handling partner.
